Upgrade in progress
It's been a while again since I've written anything here. I really do need to turn over a new leaf and start getting my thoughts out here.
But, this is a rather old version of B2Evolution - ver 0.9.1
It is so old, Fantastico can't even upgrade it. And if I go to the forum to ask for help, the answer is probably going to be ... get the latest version.
Well, I'm not sure if it is the latest version, but I'm in the process of moving to version 1.10.2. The new site exists, but I need to figure out how to bring over all my old postings and configuration settings.
I have a couple of customizations here. I'll have to replace those too.
So, see you here again in a while, if I don't blow the whole thing to pieces.

This is the new site - version 1.10
I've brought over the posts, users, and comments.
I've updated my css file
and reinstalled the Haloscan patch and the Google adds.
I'll be watching to see if comments are available/abused by spammers. This new version claims to have better spam control.
But if I get any spam comments, I'll be turning off anonymous commenting,just like I did in the previous site.

2008/01/20 @ 23:50 The log in is screwed up, apparently because of a misalignment of top domain and installed folder.
I'll either have to move the installed folder up or figure out how to get index.php to reference correctly. Maybe tomorrow.

2008/01/21 @ 23:36 It seems to work better around the login, but I'm annoyed by the /new in the address line.
I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and move my new folder up into the root.

You may, however, if you like use Haloscan comments without registering.
